Staying updated with the latest activity is essential for efficient collaboration and task management. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the Notifications Preferences in Servis.ai, helping you customize your settings to ensure you receive only the alerts that matter most. Whether you need to track @mentions, job alerts, or other important updates, this step-by-step tutorial will provide clear instructions to help you navigate and configure your notifications with ease. Let’s get started!
User Permissions: No special permissions are required to enable notifications.
Prerequisites: To receive notifications for newly received emails, pair your email with Servis.ai. To learn how to, please visit the following tutorial:

Navigate to Notifications Preferences
Open the Preferences menu by clicking on your username in the top right corner of the screen. This will open your profile menu. Click on 'Preferences'. There, all you have to do is mark the checkbox of the notifications you want to receive. Don't forget to click the 'Save' button once you are finished.
Where Can I See My New Notifications?
You have the choice of not only when you want to be notified but where as well.
Within Servis.ai
When you get a notification, you will notice a red circle.
Once you click on the Bell icon you'll be greeted with a list of your notifications. From this view you can dismiss a notification or add a follow up task. To do so, hover over a notification and an action bar will appear with a Dismiss button and a Task button.
You can also choose where you would like to be notified outside of FreeAgent.
1. Chrome Desktop
Want to stay updated? Follow these quick steps to enable Servis.ai notifications in Google Chrome:
- Open Chrome settings (⋮ in the top-right).
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Site Settings > Notifications.
- Click Add and type: freeagent.network.
For Mac Users: Also enable notifications in System Preferences > Notifications > Google Chrome.
First time logging in? When prompted, click “Allow” to enable notifications.
2. Push Notifications
Turn this on if you'd like to receive notifications on your mobile device via the Servis.ai app.

Note: Administrators can build custom notification types for their organization! Refer to this article to know everything about it.
3. SMS
We do so much of our work on our phones. It makes sense to receive important work notifications via our mobile devices.
For this to work you need to make sure you've entered a phone number as part of your account settings. Go to Settings > Preferences and click on the 'General' tab.
Note: SMS notifications are auto-truncated to 280 characters.
4. Email
When enabled, notifications will be sent to the email linked to your Servis.ai login.
- This email can be found under User Preferences > General.
- Notifications go to this address, not a paired email, ensuring they work even if no email is paired.
Different Notifications Available
Servis.ai offers various notifications to keep you informed. Here are the key ones:
- @Mentions – When someone mentions you.
- Assignments – Get notified when assigned to an Account, Contact, Opportunity, or Task.
- Email Alerts – Know when an email is received, opened, or clicked.
- Deals & Sales – Updates on deal size changes, sales stage updates, quotes issued/signed.
- Tasks & Reminders – Alerts for new tasks and reminders 15 minutes before due.
- What's New – Stay informed about new features in Servis.ai.
How Notifications Work
When you receive a new notification, a small badge appears on the bell icon. Click it to view details.
- Emails – Open and reply directly.
- Assignments – View details and go to the record’s page.
Once reviewed, click “Clear” to remove notifications and keep your list up to date.

@Mentions
@Mentions help you notify teammates about important updates, whether it’s a conversation with a contact or a deal update. You can tag individuals or groups in any tab where the activity timeline is available.
How to Use @Mentions
- Open the relevant tab and go to the “Add a note” section in the activity timeline.
- Type ”@” and select a teammate from the list.
- Add your message and format it if needed.
- Press Enter or click “Save” to post the note.
How Notifications Work
- Your teammate gets an instant notification under the bell icon.
- If they reply to the mention, you’ll be notified as well.
Use @Mentions to keep communication clear and everyone updated!
Opening up the notification, by clicking on it, will provide information about which 'App' the mention was created.
Note: Notifications in Servis.ai alert you to events like new emails or assigned tasks. You can customize when and where you receive them. @Mentions are always on and won’t appear in your settings.
Jobs
No need to keep checking your records—Servis.ai notifies you when a job process finishes, whether it succeeds or not. This system notification is enabled by default, so you’ll always stay informed.
Note: This notification will only be received by the team member who started the process, meaning he who performed the Bulk Edit or uploaded the Import CSV file.
