Through integration with RingCentral, you can make phone calls and send SMS messages from within FreeAgent.

Making phone calls with RingCentral
There are two ways you can make calls using RingCentral within FreeAgent.
1. Click the Call button in the Quick Actions Menu above the Activity Timeline to open the RingCentral calling window.
Click the Keypad button in the RingCentral calling window and enter the number you wish to call, then click the call button.
Note: When entering a phone number in the RingCentral calling window, enter the country code before the number.
2. Click on any phone number in a FreeAgent App record. This will pull up the RingCentral calling window with the number selected already entered. Click the call button to make your call.
SMS messaging with RingCentral
There are two ways you send SMS messages using RingCentral within FreeAgent.
1. Click the Text button in the Quick Actions Menu located above the Activity Timeline to pull up the RingCentral messaging window.
2. Hover over any phone number in a FreeAgent App record and a messaging icon will appear on the right-hand side of the number line.
Click on the messaging icon to pull up the RingCentral messaging window.
Click on the messaging bar at the bottom of the messaging window and enter your message.
Bulk messaging campaigns

Prerequisite: To send bulk messaging campaigns, you must have an authorized RingCentral account. See our RingCentral Integration article for instructions on authorizing your RingCentral account.
Sending a fax with RingCentral
You can send a fax using RingCentral from within FreeAgent.
Note: For this feature to be available, fax functionality must be enabled. See our RingCentral Integration article for instructions on enabling fax functionality.
Start by hovering over any phone number in a FreeAgent App record. A fax icon will appear on the right side of the number line.
Click on the fax icon to pull up the RingCentral fax window. The name of the contact and the phone number field will already be populated.
Click on the paperclip icon in the bottom-left corner of the fax window to upload the files you want to send.
Click the Send in the bottom-right corner of the fax window to send the fax to the queue.
Note: The time the fax takes to process is determined by the size of the file being sent.
