Automations
Automations help you and your organization do more, automatically. You can use them to:
- Assign Work
- Do Work Automatically
- Integrate FreeAgent to other systems or processes.
Essentially any process that can be repeated can be automated within FreeAgent. Automation Runs is a place to view all of the Automations that have run and their status.
Automation Status
There are different statuses available during the processing of an Automation. Here are the details:
Status | Description |
Completed | The automation has been completed successfully. |
Failed | Something occurred that caused the automation to fail. When this happens, the job error column will show additional details. Triggers a notification to the team member that started the process. |
Running | The automation is still running and has not yet been completed. |
Queued | The automation has been created and it is currently being processed. |
Waiting | within automations you can set various actions. Sometimes an automation needs to wait for something else to occur before continuing to run. Or one of the actions may require a certain amount if time to pass before the automation completes. |
Automation Detail
By clicking on the arrow next to an automation you can view some of the details. You'll get a list off every action contained in the automation as well as the status.
This can be valuable in situations where an automation has failed. You can discover which action was responsible for the automation failing to complete.
You can also access the log information by clicking on "Log Info" next to each action.
Search Automation Runs
